Jennifer Krupp, assistant director of career development at Washu’s Center for Career Engagement, coaches, students and alumni from WashU’s Olin Business School’s Specialized Master’s Program (SMP), guiding them as they navigate the transition from graduate school to meaningful careers. Krupp joined WashU in 2014 and stepped into her current role in 2018.

“I’m motivated by developing students in areas they are not usually comfortable being challenged in—soft skills!” Krupp said. “Through this process, I contribute to WashU’s mission by fostering student growth and enhancing their confidence and abilities in professional settings.”

At the heart of Krupp’s work is helping students grow into confident professionals. She coaches them at networking events and introduces them to alumni and industry leaders. She empowers them to overcome hesitation and develop the confidence to succeed beyond the classroom.

She uplifts those around her, ensuring that students feel empowered and colleagues feel valued. Her selfless nature and collaborative spirit make her an indispensable part of our team.

For Krupp, her team represents the high point of her career at WashU. Their shared trust and commitment to one another create a space where individual and collective goals align, allowing the team to succeed together.

Outside of work, Krupp remains deeply engaged in her community. She supports local businesses and cultural institutions in Ferguson, Missouri, participating in woodworking and farm-based initiatives and has volunteered on two mission trips to Africa.

“Whether it’s helping a neighbor, championing local causes, or providing for those in need, Jennifer does it all with humility, never seeking recognition or accolades,” Rusu said.

When she finds time for herself, Krupp enjoys serving through her church, thrifting with friends, participating in Toastmasters and volunteering in her neighborhood.
