- Project Coordinator
Graduate Programs Office, Olin Business School
Mary-Kourtney Weck, a project coordinator in the Graduate Programs Office at Olin Business School. Since being at WashU since 2023, Weck works towards creating a welcoming environment that leaves a lasting impression for students, staff and faculty.
“What motivates me is knowing that the time students spend with us helps shape their decision to come to St. Louis and determines where they’ll spend the next few years of their lives,” Weck said.
From the historic architecture and scenic landscaping to the inviting atmosphere inside Olin Business School and the food around campus, she takes great pride in being part of the university.
I want every person who steps onto campus to feel the same awe I experienced during my first visit—and to leave with the resources, information and excitement that might inspire them to make WashU their home,”
Mary-Kourtney Weck
With so much to offer, she encourages those considering WashU, or even St. Louis, to go around the campus and the neighboring areas and experience all that St. Louis has to offer. The history of WashU is deeply rooted in tradition, with so many opportunities around campus, Weck believes there is a spot for everyone here.
“For anyone considering working at WashU, I would encourage them to visit campus—take a walk, enjoy the local food offerings, sit in on a class, meet Bear and Brookie (our WashU Police Department comfort dogs) and experience the warm, welcoming embrace that WashU offers,” Weck said.
Outside of work, Weck enjoys spending time with her two dogs and cat, Blu, Hazel and Percy, who are usually close by as she cooks, crafts, relaxes in the backyard or binge-watches her favorite shows.
